I love this photo. I love it because it is dark and passionate. I love the way the model does not pose for the shot. She just “moves” and when I see that certain something through the lens, I take the shot. I love the way her hair is imperfect. The way that it is partly in her face and over her eye. Her eyes are beautiful. They truly allow you to see into her soul. My job is to capture my subjects being themselves. Sometimes that is easier than others. For this shoot, it was very easy. I was able to add a little more passion to this shot in post production. I’m not exactly sure why I chose the create the vignette in green, but it worked for me. As I said, I love this photo, a lot!

The model is Fatiana Gresham. I love working with Fatiana, she is fun, exciting, passionate, amazingly creative, and very inspirational. She is a perfectionist and works hard to create the energy that it takes to make exceptional images. It’s funny, we almost didn’t work together. She is a great negotiator. I’m happy that we were able to come to an agreement on how we were going to work. The first night that she walked through the door she blew me away with her style and the quality and measure of her work. She has created hundreds of images that I have to choose from for releases.
