Many define fashion as “what’s in.” They’ll look at a person and say, “That outfit is ugly” or “What were they thinking?” I believe that fashion represents the personality of an individual and no, not everyone’s personalities are alike. And let’s face it every style and article is only repetition, the trends out today are repetition from the 70′s and 80′s, with a spin here and there! The same thing you those in their 20′s and under are wearing now, is the same thing parents – yes parents, used to wear. None the less it’s all culture.

Clothing is culture, and we should be respectful of that. Who you are and where you are from is what makes fashion-fashionable! From turbans to sun dresses and jeans, we all have our own personalities and that is why clothing is fun. Despite what the garment looks like before it’s on your body, if it’s your personality, you can rock it right….and everyone has a personality! No two snowflakes are alike-neither is the fashion of two individuals! It isn’t about the label on the inside or the stitching on the outside; it is about taking the garment and adding your personality to it. Every outfit says something different depending on who is in it – think about the little black dress that has many different meanings!

No article of clothing has to have a $1,000 price tag to be “in.” Many of the models today, Angelina Jolie, for example, wore her own clothing and no make up or shoes on in her shoot for her Louis Vuitton ad. She was very natural and look amazingly breathtaking – no glitz and glam to it – yet she was stunning. Whether you shop at Be Be or Wet Seal, New York & Co. or Macy’s, JC Penny or Rue 21…wherever….any article, even a $5 piece of clothing can look like a million dollars – it all depends on YOU!

Fashion today will repeat itself in another 20 years, with a little more spin to it. There won’t be clam diggers or knickerbockers (back in the day) or capris (nowadays) – maybe simply quarter-length shorts by then. lol. Yet, it’ll be the same garment in a different color scheme, etc. Nonetheless, at the end of the day, it’s all in the way YOU wear it! Your clothing is your beauty – share it!

Yesterday was one of those unique days in which the visitor over at Flickr.com spread the love around so much that we had 7 photos tied for the #1 most viewed title. Amber Lynn had 3 of the 7, and the other 3 were equally divide by Alfonzo Smith, Ej Allure, and Jae Auri! I think that is absolutely great! A Video from the “Early Days” at BBV = “Welcome to BBV”

This was one of my first attempts in the area of “talkies.” It was kool! It was fun putting it together and I smile each time that I watch it. I have a lot more video work on my To Do list. I’m looking forward to releasing the new stuff soon (’cause Jae says so!!!). Stay tuned!
