Let’s Get It!!!

Hey thanks for stopping by.  It’s time to kick things into a higher gear.  I have heard that if you want to get the most out of a project you have to be willing to put a lot into it! SO just an FYI, I plan to put much more into it! I think that I’m a pretty good photographer, but my goal is to be absolutely great! So, I have to get busy (busier!)  I will be using this blog to document my journey to greatness.  The good, the bad, and the proverbial ugly!

We are just returning from a three day shoot in Louisville, KY and I must say that I am very tired both physically and mentally.  There are some many thing that have to be done correctly in order to have a successful shoot, but the truth is that you don’t always have control over the things that you need to control to guarantee a great shoot.  Maybe you can and I just don’t know how to do it yet.  In any case, it can be very frustrating and draining.  However, I don’t believe in making excuses.  I prefer to make history.

I have been in a wheelchair for about 50 years and it is a major factor in how I approach each and and each shoot.  It adds a few more elements to a shoot that I have to take into account when trying to produce that “perfect” shoot.  I think that being in a chair makes me appreciate somethings a little more than I think that I would otherwise.  I know that it give me a different perspective.  The perspective isn’t always better, but in many cases it’s different.  Just the “getting around” part can be an adventure. But my goal is to take all that I am and all that I am not and learn to make amazing photos.  I really mean that.  I want to make exceptional images.  That’s where I’m headed.  I know that I have a lot to learn, but I’m very anxious to learn as much as I can as quickly as I can.

I have been blessed to work with some of the best models in the world, (well at least in my world! Lol.)  They are amazing, inspiring, and beautiful internally and externally!  So, enough of this for now.  I need to download and then upload a truckload of images from the last shoot in Louisville.  Stay tuned.  Let’s Get It!!!
