I spent most of my yesterday after my son’s homeschool session tinkering with new lighting theories and light modifier combinations. My partner in crime (and ministry) Monica Day dropped by for a few hours to help me, but of course she had to leave. So I had to go it alone.
Carla was studying and then went to bed. But I was still testing new theories late into the night and needed a model that was available right then and could hang all night long. Don’t get me wrong, most, if not all, of my models can hang all night long, but no one was available last night when I was testing.
Fortunately, I had planned for just such an occasion a few weeks ago when I asked Carla to pick up a couple on manikin heads from the local beauty supply store. They worked nicely. They are nothing close to the real thing, but they will do in a pinch. Here is an iPhone shot of one of the configurations I was working with. Execution over excuses!
